This is a sample of the seaweed pressings I make gathered from cast up materials found on the beaches around along the East Lothian coast from Yellow Craigs to Ravensheugh.
Original pressings are dried, pressed and mounted on paper and board, signed, mounted and framed in either gilt or whitewashed oak frames and cost between £250 – £300. I also have smaller ‘free-floating’ pressings which are £135.
Prints are all limited edition, printed on archival quality paper and vary in size. Mounted, unframed prints are £100; larger mounted and framed prints are between £150 and £350.

Sara – This is a fascinating story and your pressings are beautiful. Congratulations! Hope to see some of your work up close one day soon. Love, Mom
Sara, these look absolutely lovely. I have just done a course in 21st Century weaving at the art college in Edinburgh and the seaweeds at the East Sands were my inspiration for the work. I will pop in to see your exhibition. It is also great to know the name of the various kinds of seaweed now – I can go back to my sketchbook and fill in the missing names! Well done – brilliant.
