Purple Porphyra print

The Scottish Seabird Centre was named as Scotland’s National Marine Centre in 2015 and this exhibition of seaweed pressings and prints was the first to celebrate its wider role in conserving the marine wildlife habitats.

The exhibition focused on the little seen red algaes such as the lacy Polysiphonias and Callophyllis laciniata as well as opportunity to display larger prints of Laminaria digitata and Porphyra purpurea.
